- I have pets, can I still have a Burglar alarm fitted?
- Yes, pet immune detectors can be fitted instead of normal pir's, these detectors if fitted correctly will ignore animals up to a certain weight.Pets can also be kept in one area of the property and this area isolated when setting the alarm.
- There is no way of running cables in my property, what are my options?
- Cables can be hidden in approx. 95% of properties, to a good degree with minimal disruption. If there are no routes for the running of cables then the only option is to have a wireless system fitted.
- How much disruption to my house will there be while my system is being fitted?
- It depends on the property, but there will be dust, noise, tools and stepladders about. This disruption will be kept to a minimum.
- How long will it take to fit my alarm?
- Again, it depends on the property, but the average installation is 1 to 2 days.
- My alarm never goes off, so I presume it is ok, is this right?
- No,there may be faults with one or more components, making it useless in a genuine alarm situation or power failure. If older than 5 years it should be checked, ideally once a year.
- I already have the cables fitted ready for an alarm, does this make it cheaper to have an alarm fitted?
- Yes, it makes it easier, quicker and cheaper, with less disruption.
- Do you provide remote monitoring of alarms and cctv?
- No. We fit only speech, and speech and text diallers. These are connected to the phone line and dial or text customer when system is activated.
- Are wireless alarms better than wired alarms?
- Wireless alarms are easier to install, and a lot more reliable than in the past, but are not yet as reliable or secure in the long term as a hard wired alarm.
- I work 9 to 5, will you come after 5pm, or weekends?
- Yes, visits up to 8pm Mon to Sat are available.
